"The Other Mother" is a provocative, acerbic exhibition intended to disturb the myth of the evil stepmother. This witty and brazenly honest show is sure to touch all members of a "blended" family.

If it does, in fact, "take a village to raise a child," the exhibition confronts this contemporary village to examine the motives behind victimization, vindictiveness and excessive litigation. The show is comprised of twenty-five 4' x 4' digital images created by Canadian artist Karen Piovaty.

To rent the physical exhibition, please contact Karen Piovaty. The artist is available for speaking engagements and workshops. Accompanying the show will be a current CD of the internet site and an interpretive essay by Jane E. Hindman, retired professor of rhetoric and writing at San Diego State University.
